Wheew I’m glad that this weekend is over with.. lol
Friday was nice and calm.. I almost thought that it would be hard to get Jennah laid down in her bed to fall asleep for 7:30pm cause Jays friend stopped by with his son, but I right away said she’s in bed cause we had to be up to get ready by 6:30am and at the Arena in town by 7:30am cause the bus was pulling out at 7:45am, but the bus was late, we were on time which was suprising.. lol So we all loaded up on the coach bus, watched a movie for the hour-an-a-half trip to
Toronto to get to the Ontario Science Centre. We had a great time, although things weren’t quite like I thought they would
be.. I wasn’t going to be a leader for the guiders I was suppose to be a volunteer mom to help. Well it ended up being that a friend of mine who is a leader for the Sparks, well she didn’t know she worked(she says, although gets her schedual two weeks ahead if time) Anyway so she doesn’t come, and for the Sparks group themselves there were only 2 leaders and two moms.. The other mom Clair and I were supervising all of the kids pretty much all but two maybe, and one of them being the main leader Judy’s granddaughter, who is also the mom of my friend Michelle who said she wasn’t sure if she worked or not.. Meanwhile come to find out she didn’t work but her and her boyfriend made plans that day..So that left the mom and I not being able to get all of the kids to the different exhibits. *sighs* We also ended up seeing this documentary on Bugs.. Come on, how many little girls do you know that are into bugs? Not any of ours.. lol That took good 45 mins to an hour watching that.. But before the bug show we ended up going to a kids zone and got to play with some of the kewl things they had there… There was the anatomy of a human body to peice back together, Jennah got her blood pressure taken. hehe And we looked at some Xrays of different bones, there were two bearded dragons I got some shots of. And there was also this bubble area that was kewl in a big water zone, the kids could change the current of the water by placing blockers in certain spots. And the bubble sink a big sink full of different instruments for the kids to blow different sized bubbles in.

Then it was lunch.. In the lunch room my old Boss Kelly from M&M Meat Shops where I worked almost 2 yrs ago asked me if I wanted my job back, that the assistant manager hadn’t show up to open the store and we were almost 2 hours away from home. So I had said sure I’ll bring my resume in to her on Monday, but that she can’t do the hiring now that it’s the head boss.. So I said no problem I’d like to work again.. I miss it there, Kelly was a great boss really flexible, her girls just love me I get a hug from the oldest Kirsten everytime she sees me :* hehe
And she and I have a similar intrest , Photography, she’s more of a scrapbooker though… hehe And with Jays job being so flakey right now, we need all the extra $$ we can get..
After lunch we headed back to put our backpacks in the lockers and headed off to go and see some things. We weren’t able to do a whole lot , because I had 3 other girls along with Jennah to make 4 to keep an eye on.. Clair had helped me out as well..She agreed that things could have been planned smoother..lol So we took the girls around making sure to know where the leaders were. First the leaders decided to hit the gift shop..Ooo lord we spent probably another half an hour in there. And I was stuck with all 4 girls to help them pick something out..oOo man was I flustered.. I have a hard enough time with Jennah choosing something.. lmao It was actually not that bad after one decided on something..They kind of made a theme of it Jennah, Libby & Sammy they all choose to get a white kitty and marbles, I ended up getting Jennah this pink kitty aswell.. I didn’t have enough to add to the other girls Lib&Sam had $20 each but Meg only had $8 so she got a pretty ring, but at first wanted things that were waaay out of her budget.. So finally after that grueling 30-40minutes was over in the busiest part of the OSC, we went rock climbling, checked out some bicycles that worked lights, the bobsled.. lol Jennah was bumbed cause some of the other girls were a little pushy and she didn’t get a turn.. So we’ve promised that we’re going to take her back and have a whole day of fun. We were looking around and around for the static ball.. LOL The best thing there..We found it but it isn’t like it was when we were younger..never is eh?
They made a nice electricity show out of it, and picked out of the audience to help demonstrate.. hehe Again Jennah didn’t
get to participate.. lol And we aparently didn’t have enough time to stand in line after the show to place our hands on the
ball and have our hair stand up too :( So it’s a most definate to go back soon soon! We had to meet back for the bus at 2:15pm according to the Head leader of the girl guides of Canada! And guess what??? Do you think they were there
on time ? Hell NO! I was irratated that they made sure they made a direct point to ALL of the other attendies to the OSC to be at the bus exactly at 2:15pm NO later.. Ok fine we rushed away, I looked at a sad lil face all the way back to the bus.. Sat outside waiting patiently along with the rest of the kids I had a bit of a smoke the only one since 7:30am and felt great without.. Then decided to get on the bus and wait for everyone else to load.. I had lil ones fighting over who’d get to sit with me and blahhh finally Jennah and lil Sammy decided to sit together, the other lil girl megan chose to sit with another
girl and I got Libby.. hehe. The ride home seemed to fly, we made it home by 4:30pm and pulled out of the Science Centre at about 2:30pm. Then Saturday was a nice visit with my neices and my great nephew.. Ooo how weird is that. lol He’s a cutie. I’ll post a private post later with some piccies. My neice acts a little more matured than she is, and it’s hard to take in, and very odd to see how alike she is with her mother and mine.. lol poooor girl!! B)
